Our Robinson Crusoe experience
It feels like living a Robinson Crusoe experience, a moment out of time. Monique and Georges welcome you with kindness. Our lodge was lost in the lush vegetation, giving the impression of being really close to nature.
Relaxing and pleasant
A beautiful place surrounded by greenery, perfect for relaxing. The welcome is very warm throughout your stay.
The room, although small, is very comfortable and has air conditioning.
Having breakfast in front of the room facing the garden was very pleasant.
We stayed there with our dog, who was also welcome and was able to roam freely around the house and garden&
In short, everyone enjoyed the two days spent in this beautiful house.

As luck would have it, we didnt stay at Habitation Massieux, which was fully booked, but we were keen to meet Monique, the owner, who very kindly helped us find a room for the night of our arrival in Guadeloupe.
Monique offered us green tea (served in English porcelain) and we chatted about everything and nothing, just life in general! for at least an hour.
We savored this moment of conviviality. Thank you, Monique, for your kindness and for the energy that you and Georges put into ensuring that we didnt have to sleep outside!
Habitation Massieux is located in a magnificent wooded park, and palm tree enthusiasts can discover more than a hundred different varieties.
I highly recommend this place, both for the beauty of the listed building and for the tranquility of this little corner of tropical forest, and above all for the warm welcome from Monique and her assistant Georges.

Monique and Fofo are just incredible! And their home is simply magnificent! The breakfast is delicious! Monique will take the time to answer your questions! She loves doing that!

Just a little advice: if youre afraid of animals that live in the wild, it might not be the easiest place to stay :p

A poetic stage...
& and full of charm! Monique has decorated this remarkable listed house with great taste, down to the smallest details. The bed was very comfortable, with linen sheets. The bathroom is old-fashioned (the taps are in good condition) and adds to the charm. Fofo has created an extraordinary garden with a wide variety of palm trees. Breakfast is beautifully served and the jams are exceptional, as is the honey from Ménard Lami (Guadeloupe gold medal 2014).
If you like modern, square houses, give this one a miss.

The Massieux residence is an exceptional place, in a typical setting, a charming traditional dwelling. Serenity and friendliness await you with Monique and Fofo.
I went there twice (in February and May) and tried two rooms, or rather one adorable room and then the cabin in the forest, which was awesome!!!

Habitation Massieux is an exceptional site, steeped in history, in a colonial house with magnificent architecture. Fofo and Monique are really nice owners, each with a different style, which doesnt spoil anything. The atmosphere is both bourgeois and bohemian.
Fofo in the kitchen is a delight for the taste buds, we want more.
